IRCEN promoting cultural traditions
The IRCEN (India International Rural Cultural Centre) will complete 27 eventful year on 17th October 2006… Each year IRCEN organizes a Festival of Folk Dance and Music of India where youth from all over the country present from diverse cultural backgrounds interact and preserve the national ethos through colourful folk dances and music. This year, a 7-day Festival of Folk Dance and Music of India will be organized at Open Air Theatre, IRCEN Bhawan from 17th to 23rd October… The Festival will be inaugurated by Shri Saheb Singh Varma, former Chief Minister of Delhi on 17th October at 6.30p.m… The Centre has also established a cultural exchange relations on non-official basis with countries like Japan, China, Korea, Hungary, Lithuania and some African countries…
