A cultural route to rural hinterland
The cultural outreach programme of India International Rural Cultural Centre, Vasant Kunj, in government schools in remote villages has braved resistance from elements and school authorities. Today, 25 years later; its founder Member Secretary, Mr.P.L.Varma feels the mission has achieved 80 per cent success…The centre also runs School of Performing & Fine Arts. As many as 700 children from neighbouring villages learn Odissi, Kathak, Bharatanatyam and Hindustani & Carnatic Vocal at the centre…
